So last night was Hawaii's first official snow fall of the season. Isn't it crazy that it can actually SNOW in Hawaii? And we even beat Pittsburgh for first snow of the season - they have yet to see any snowfall! Of course the snow fall is limited to the top of Mauna Kea, but still!! I took this picture on my way to school. At 14,000 feet it's pretty cold up there - obviously it's cold enough for snow! Lucky for me the high at school was still 70 degrees. It is so funny to me that people can actually be swimming in the ocean while it is snowing in the mountains!! I guess I've got the best of both worlds! Well, just wanted to share the Hawaiian snow!

Yes you can be snowboarding on the tops of Mauna Kea and two hours later be surfing in 70 degree water. Only place in the world!
